MARK COPPING
Mark Copping has over 30 years of experience as a freelance piano/composition tutor, both privately and as a school teacher. He has prepared students for ABRSM Piano and theory as well as GCSE, and A level music examinations.
Mark is also an award-winning composer, and has written for commissions as well as composed music for multimedia companies and a top advertising agency.
He teaches at all levels up to grade 8, A'Level, and beyond, privately at his home, where he has a music room/studio. His music room is equipped with computer-based recording and scoring equipment as well as a Steinway grand piano for students to learn on.
He was taught piano by concert pianist and head of piano at Kent Music School, Andrew Haigh and at university by Cambridge-based concert pianist Philip Mead .
He studied composition with John Hopkins as an undergraduate and also briefly with Robin Holloway and John McCabe
